WG3 announces the call for Short-Term Scientific Mission (STSM) aiming to support progress in the work plan of WG3 through contribution to the subproject on Genetic diversity in “particular systems”, led by Roberta Gargiulo (r.gargiulo@kew.org) in view of achieving the WG3’s objectives, tasks and deliverables. The STSM Grant will focus on contributing to WG3’s sub-project on genetic diversity characterization and implications for applied conservation in “particular systems”. “Particular systems” refer to taxa with complex life history traits, e.g. polyploid, clonal, haplo-diplontic systems etc. and to taxa in which taxonomic boundaries are unclear, e.g. hybrids/hybrid zones. For further information, please check the attached file of the WG3 STSM call. Take a note that this STSM should take place between August 1 and September 15, 2025.
Deadline to submit the STSM application is July 20, 2025, 17:00 CEST. The results of the call will be announced ten working days upon receipt of the applications or July 31, 17:00 CEST at the latest.
Interested parties are encouraged to contact the GENOA WG3 leader, Myriam Heuertz, issuing the call and the Grant Awarding coordinator, Joachim Mergeay, prior to submission, to ensure that the budget is still available.
