GENOA’s core group decided to grant the first Dissemination Conference Grant within the grant period 1 (GP1) to Ancuta Fedorca to present GENOA at the International Wildlife Congress. The IWC serves as a platform for wildlife scientists, scholars, managers, and policymakers to exchange knowledge, share experiences, and explore technological advances. This setting directly supports the GENOA Action’s Science Communication Plan by providing an opportunity to present its work on integrating genetic diversity into biodiversity monitoring and management to a multidisciplinary and influential audience.

Dissemination Conference Grants support the participation of Action participants to high-level conferences (not organised or co-organised by GENOA COST action) to present the work of the Action. The grant promotes visibility for GENOA and helps establish new contacts with potential stakeholders, in line with COST’s Excellence and Inclusiveness Policy. The grant must be completed in its entirety within the duration of the current grant period. For further information, visit the Dissemination Conference Grant in the website’s Open calls section.
